Mysuru: Four people were killed after a private sleeper bus travelling from Kozhikode to Bengaluru overturned in the early hours of Monday on the Mysuru Expressway. The crash occurred around 4.10 am between Maddur and Channapatna, leaving few others injured.
The accident took place at dawn when the P.K. Travels bus lost control, struck the divider and overturned. The vehicle was operating a scheduled service from Kozhikode to Bengaluru.
Initial information indicates the bus veered off course before hitting the median. Authorities are examining the sequence of events, with early reports suggesting the driver may have fallen asleep.
All four victims are Malayalis. They have been identified as Koyilandy natives Muhammad Farhan, Rasheed, Zakir, and Mahe native Sulfikar.
The bodies have been shifted to the Channapatna Government Hospital.
