Former Kerala High Court judge and ex-NUALS Acting Vice-Chancellor Justice S Siri Jagan passes away.

Kochi: Former Kerala High Court judge Justice C Siri Jagan passed away late on Saturday at 74 years. He was also the former Acting Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. He had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi for the past three weeks.
A native of Mayyanad in Kollam district, Justice Jagan served as a judge of the Kerala High Court from 2005 to 2014.
During his tenure, he took up several public interest matters suo motu. Even after retirement, he played a leadership role in various important committees. He served as the chairperson of the committee appointed by the Supreme Court to examine compensation related to the stray dog issue. He was also the chairperson of the High Power Committee on Sabarimala appointed by the Kerala High Court.
