Earlier, Jacob Thomas had revealed his interest in contesting in the Assembly elections.

Thrissur: Former DGP Jacob Thomas on Thursday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Jacob Thomas was inducted to the party during a function held here which was attended by BJP national president J. P. Nadda. Jacob Thomas received the party membership from Nadda.

Prominent BJP leaders including state president K. Surendran were also present.

Earlier, Jacob Thomas had revealed his interest in contesting in the Assembly elections. He had said that discussions regarding his constituency were progressing.
