Thiruvananthapuram: Former SFI leader K Vidya who stands accused of using fake certificates for securing a job at Kalady University, has been absconding for over two weeks now. Meanwhile, Nikhil Thomas, SFI leader at Kayamkulam MSM college, has gone into hiding in a similar fashion, after he was found guilty of using fake certificates to secure admission in the college. The Kerala police has so far remained unsuccessful in nabbing these culprits.
However, the police claim they are working round-the-clock to nab the student leaders who are at large. Cops are gathering evidence against Vidya. They are collecting statements from her teachers and are verifying various documents in colleges, as part of the investigation.
Investigation officers have requested the Kerala HC not to grant anticipatory bail to Vidya in the document forgery case. Meanwhile, Kayamkulam MSM college management has lodged official complaint against SFI leader Nikhil Thomas.
It’s high time for Kerala police to spring into action, for bringing the culprits into the court of law.
