Thiruvananthapuram: Muthalapozhi harbour, known for being a deadly trap for fishermen, witnessed another boat mishap on Saturday. However, fishermen Abi and Moitheen escaped without injuries.

The incident happened in the morning. The fishing boat lost control in the waves and rammed into the breakwater structure (Pulimuttu). The boat capsized.  Abi managed to swim and save his life while a group of fishermen rescued Moitheen. Both were not injured.

The issue with  Muthalapozhi came to limelight after the recent death of four fishermen in a boat accident. The coastal community has been contending for some time that the area is dangerous for vessels. 

Both state and central governments assured proactive action to resolve the issue. However, locals maintain that they won't believe the words unless changes are seen on the ground.
