South Western Railway adds special train for Sabarimala pilgrimage & festival season. Maveli Express gets an extra sleeper coach to manage passenger rush.

Chennai: South Western Railway has announced a special train service to handle the surge of passengers during the Sabarimala pilgrimage and the upcoming festival season.
The weekly Hubballi–Kollam special express (07313) will run from September 28 to December 29. The train will depart Hubballi at 3.15 pm every Sunday and reach Kollam at 12.55 pm the following day. In the return direction, Kollam-Hubballi special express (07314) will leave Kollam at 5 pm every Monday and arrive in Hubballi at 6.30 pm the next day.
The service will halt at Sasthamcotta, Karunagappally, Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur and Palakkad stations.
Extra coach in Maveli Express
To ease the festival rush, one additional sleeper coach has been allotted to the Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express (16603/16604).
Train No. 16603, running from Mangaluru to Thiruvananthapuram, will have the extra coach on September 25,26,27 and 30 and on October 2 and 4.
Train No. 16604, from Thiruvananthapuram to Mangaluru, will operate with the additional coach on September 26, 27 and 28, and on October 1, 3 and 5.
