Varkala: Tragedy struck as a two-year-old girl lost her life after she was struck by a train on Friday here.
The incident took place in Edava Kappil, near Kannammoodu. The deceased is Suhrin, daughter of Abdul Aziz and Isuzi of AKG Bhavan.

The unfortunate incident occurred when the girl's mother briefly went to fetch food. The toddler walked onto the railway track near home and family members did not notice.
Suhrin was discovered lifeless near the railway track in front of their house at around 5:30 pm on Friday.
According to reports, Suhrin was playing with a mobile phone in the house, accompanied by other children. While Isuzi rushed to the kitchen to retrieve food for the baby, the other children followed suit. It is suspected that during this time, Suhrin might have slipped through the gate and venture close to the tracks. It is assumed that she managed to cross the first track and the accident occurred on the second track. Passers-by noticed the child's body lying injured outside the tracks. Suhrin leaves behind her siblings, Siya and Sakif.
