Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan dismissed the claims of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the fake job scam allegations surrounding the Health Minister’s office. The chief minister had described the entire incident as a conspiracy act and blamed the media for allegedly proliferating fake news.
“It is neither people with vested interests nor the media, as claimed by Pinarayi, that has to be blamed here. Police have already clarified that news regarding the fake job scam and bribery allegations are true. The one who has been arrested and those who are absconding in the case, are all related to the CPM and the LDF front,” said VD Satheesan.
“The prime accused Akhil Sajeev is a former district committee office secretary of CITU Pathanamthitta. CPM leaders in the district have already testified to Akhil's role in previous offences as well. The accused still maintains good connections with several members of the Communist Party. I personally suggest that the police should look deeper into Akhil’s contacts, if they do so, the truth shall unfold by itself,” added Satheesan.
Launching a scathing attack against the chief minister, VD Satheesan said “The realities are before the public, and despite that, Pinarayi put forth conspiracy theory. CPM cadres may be ready to clap for all the logicless things that their idols say. But Pinarayi should not underestimate the majority of the Kerala population who are politically aware and enlightened.”
The investigation of the fake job scam is in progress.
