Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Mohanan Kunnummal on Monday issued an order nullifying the Mcom registration of Nikhil Thomas, who is accused of producing a fake degree certificate to get admission at Milad-E-Sherif Memorial (MSM) College in Kayamkulam.
VC also ordered the college to take back the Bcom equivalency certificate submitted by Thomas.
The move comes as a probe found that Thomas submitted a fake certificate degree certificate of Kalinga University.
Kerala University is expecting an explanation from MSM college authorities regarding the matter. If there are discrepancies and lapses, the college too will face the action.
Amid criticism in various quarters, including from netizens, SFI, the student organisation of CPM, ousted Thomas the other day. Police have booked him under relevant sections for forgery and cheating.
