Sulthan Bathery: Officials at the Muthanga excise check post have seized 519.8 grams of gold that was being smuggled. They have taken into custody Kozhikode resident Aditya Vinay Jadhav (19). 

Aditya was travelling in a KSRTC bus from Mysuru to Kozhikode. Officials found the gold after conducting a body search. Excise officials said that during interrogation, Aditya revealed that the gold was to be taken to his father’s jewellery. 

Aditya and the seized gold has been handed over to the GST enforcement for further proceedings.
