Using footage of the Manchester City and Norway goal-machine casually riding a bicycle while wearing a helmet, the Kerala Police crafted a simple yet impactful social media creative. The video signs off with a direct question aimed at two-wheeler riders. Haaland wears a helmet, do you?” 
 

By pairing a world-class sporting hero with an everyday safety issue, the police department aims to normalise helmet use across all age groups, reminding citizens that if a global superstar values head protection on a casual ride, ordinary commuters should make it an automatic habit on every journey.

This isn’t the first time the department has seized on a sporting highlight to champion road safety.

Last year, during a high-stakes Ranji Trophy semi-final, Kerala cricketer Salman Nizar made national headlines when a sharp shot ricocheted off his short-leg helmet into a fielder’s hands. The dramatic catch secured Kerala's historic first-ever spot in the Ranji Trophy final. Both the Kerala Police and the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) immediately capitalised on the viral moment.
