Kottayam: A man narrowly escaped injury when a wild boar crashed into an ATM in Erumeli on Monday morning. The incident occurred at the SIB ATM near the Erumeli bus stand.

Gopalan, a resident of Mukkuda, was withdrawing money when the wild boar broke through the large glass door of the ATM and charged inside. Startled by the sudden intrusion, Gopalan quickly ran out of the ATM.

Fortunately, a major mishap was averted as the collapsed glass door did not fall on Gopalan’s head. He suffered injuries to his leg from the broken glass. He later sought medical treatment at a nearby private hospital for his leg injury.
