Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has once again issued a notice to K Radhakrishnan MP in connection with the Karuvannur black money transaction case, asking him to appear at the ED office in Kochi on April 8.
Although he was previously issued two notices, the MP did not appear. The ED had granted him additional time after he cited the Parliament session and the party congress as reasons for his inability to attend.
The ED must file a chargesheet in the case soon and plans to submit the second phase of the chargesheet by April 15. The testimony of K Radhakrishnan, who was the district secretary of the CPM at the time of the scam, is being recorded based on the conclusion that the CPM was involved in the case.
The ED aims to clarify the party’s connection with the Karuvannur Bank and its financial transactions.
