Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM state secretariat is of the view that the Enforcement Directorate’s move in the Karuvannur bank fraud case should be viewed cautiously. The party has decided to face the ED action against MLA A.C Moideen legally. The ED has issued a notice to Moideen to present himself on August 31. This will only be followed after consulting legal experts.
The ED has reportedly not been able to find evidence to prove that Moideen has amassed unaccounted wealth. Thus, the CPM has decided to expose the ED’s move and move legally.
The Idukki land issue has been around for a while and the party leadership’s stance is that the controversies surrounding it are temporary. CPM also alleged that the media campaigning against the party has taken on an organized form. They have decided to deal with it at the union level.
