Thiruvananthapuram: MLA V T Balram has raised more allegations against the consultancy contract of the e-mobility project of the state government. He alleged that one of the directors of PricewaterhouseCoopers Company, which took up the consultancy contract, has close connection with Exalogic Solutions company, in which Veena, daughter of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is a director.
Jaik Balakumar, who is a director of PricewaterhouseCoopers for 16 years, is a consultant of Exalogic Solutions, Balram alleged in a Facebook post. Recently, opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had alleged that there was irregularities in the consultancy of the electric bus deal of the government. Soon after this, Balram also came up with the Facebook post with fresh allegations.
Opposition leader had stated that the contract was given to a foreign company, which faces several allegations and legal procedures, without following rules and inviting tender. The consultancy was handed over upon the interest of the chief minister at a meeting chaired by himself. Chennithala had also demanded to clarify the connection between the chief minister and the company.
