But soon after reaching the court premises, Sreelakshmi, a Civil Officer at the Ollur Police Station, experienced sudden bleeding. She was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, where she safely delivered her baby.

Thrissur: A cop who had come to court to give her testimony was rushed straight from the court premises to a delivery room. Sreelakshmi, a Civil Officer at the Ollur Police Station, gave birth to a baby boy the other day.
She was at the court to depose in a case related to the assault on then Ollur Station House Officer (SHO) Farshad. Her plan was to take maternity leave right after giving her testimony in the case.
Despite concerns raised by her family and colleagues about the risks of delaying her maternity leave, Sreelakshmi remained firm in her decision. In her ninth month of pregnancy, she continued to travel to work every day by auto-rickshaw. On Monday, the day of her court appearance, she reported to the station early in the morning and travelled to the court with fellow officers.
But soon after reaching the court premises, she experienced sudden bleeding. She was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, where she safely delivered her baby.
City Police Commissioner R Ilango praised her dedication, noting how Sreelakshmi remained committed to her duty until the very last moment, even when her body needed rest the most.
