The complaint concerns the reclassification of a ten-cent plot of land listed in the Noolpuzha village databank.

Kalpetta: The Wayanad Revenue Recovery Department on Saturday suspended Deputy Collector C. Geetha from service following findings of lapses in official duties.
The suspension, which took effect on Saturday, comes after an investigation into allegations of procedural misconduct.
The action by the Revenue Department follows a complaint filed by Kerala Congress State General Secretary KJ Devasia. The complaint concerns the reclassification of a ten-cent plot of land listed in the Noolpuzha village databank.
Despite a court ruling in favour of Devasia for the land conversion, the Deputy Collector is alleged to have deliberately caused delays and sought bribes to expedite the process.
An inquiry by the Revenue Department confirmed serious lapses in handling the land conversion application, prompting the suspension of the officer.
