Thiruvananthapuram: As monsoon has arrived in the state following week-long rains, Kerala is witnessing a surge in dengue cases.
On Wednesday, 35 people were diagnosed with dengue. Of them, 27 are in Ernakulam district. Besides, 16 people were confirmed with leptospirosis. In the last five months, 12 people died of Leptospirosis.
People are advised to observe Dry Day by cleaning places where water stagnate and avoid contacting water logged areas.
