Vaikom: Post-mortem report of Sanjay, the 19-year-old boy who was found dead on a beach in Goa, states that he was beaten up before death. The boy is said to have sustained blows on his chest and back before he breathed his last. However, the cause of death can be ascertained only after results of the examination of internal organs come out. Sanjay’s body was found in a decayed state.
Sanjay, who hailed from Vaikom's Kulasekharamangalam, had been missing after the New Year celebrations in Goa.
He had travelled to Goa from Vaikom with two friends (Krishnadev and Jayakrishnan) on December 29 to celebrate New Year. The boys reached Goa on December 30.
Sanjay went missing while the youngsters were attending a dance party in Vagator beach on December 31.
Sanjay’s relatives had filed a complaint with the Thalayolaparambu police, which was then forwarded to the Goa Police.
The Goa Police found a dead body on the beach on January 4.
Following this, Sanjay's friends and relatives went to the location and identified the body. The dead was later shifted to Goa Medical College Hospital.
Sanjay’s family members are now claiming that he was murdered. His father Santhosh alleged that his son was beaten up and later his body thrown into the sea.
It should be noted that Sanjay and his friends had visited a makeshift club. Videos of Sanjay dancing at the club have been retrieved. In one of the clips, a person can be seen taking Sanjay out of the party. He went missing post the incident.
All details were shared with Anjuna police. Sanjay’s body was brought to Kerala and cremated.
