Thiruvananthapuram: Vamanapuram MLA D. K. Murali said that Adoor Prakash MP was spreading lies in order to distance himself from the twin murder. Murali said that Adoor Prakash was spreading lies as his links in the murder, where conspiracy too had taken place, came to light.
Earlier, Adoor Prakash had alleged that a dispute with D. K. Murali’s son had led to the twin murder. Responding to this allegation, Murali demanded the Lok Sabha MP from Attingal to clarify with whom the MLA’s son had dispute that led to the murder.
“If the dispute had led to the murder, shouldn’t the attack been against my son?,” the MLA asked.
As the involvement of Congress leaders in the murder is becoming clear, the MP is dragging my family members into the issue, in an effort to save himself. This is unfortunate and condemnable, the MLA said.
Murali further said that he would consider taking legal action against the MP. “Just because he won the previous election, Adoor Prakash should not criminalise a peaceful society,” D. K. Murali added.
The MLA said that political tension in the area started since the conclusion of Lok Sabha polls. CPI (M) increased its influence in Thempammoodu. Following this, the Congress is trying to regain the upper hand through violence, Murali added
