Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty met CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam in Thiruvananthapuram to resolve differences over the PM SHRI scheme following CPM’s reconciliation push.

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM has launched a reconciliation effort over the PM SHRI scheme, with General Education Minister V Sivankutty personally leading talks with CPI leadership.
Sivankutty met CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam at the party headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday to discuss differences and ease tensions within the ruling front on the PM - SHRI scheme implementation. GR Anil, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, was also present.
Speaking to the media, Sivankutty said he would not respond immediately but might comment later in the evening. He added that all issues would be resolved. The CPI has been highly critical of the Education Minister over the matter, and the CPM leadership hopes a direct involvement by Sivankutty will help reach a consensus.
