Thiruvananthapuram: M V Govindan, the State Secretary of the CPM, has emphatically stated that the party has nothing to do with the recent bomb blast in Panur. Govindan reiterated that those apprehended in connection with the incident were previously implicated in assaulting party members and had been disassociated from the party.
Addressing the media, Govindan asserted that the CPM has no association with the bomb blast incident and had no involvement in any resistance activities. He dismissed allegations of bomb making by the party during elections as baseless propaganda.
Responding to remarks made by RSP State Secretary Shibu Baby John, who alleged that the CPM had received funds through dubious means from companies embroiled in the electoral bond controversy, Govindan dismissed the accusations, terming them as attempts to defame the Left without substantial evidence.
Regarding inquiries about the reinstating of P B Anitha, the nurse who testified for the rape survivor in Kozhikode Medical College, Govindan stated that authorities have indicated that she will be reinstated if and when the vacancy presents itself.
