Thiruvananthapuram: The provision of Covid special leave for employees in government, semi-government, public sector, and private organizations has been revoked.
Previously, a five-day special leave was granted to individuals affected by Covid. If the antigen test results were negative after the five-day period, employees were allowed to follow the Covid protocol and return to the office.
In cases where the test results were not negative, it was advised to utilize other authorized forms of leave for subsequent days. The existing order also stated that individuals with the option to work from home could avail themselves of a seven-day work-from-home arrangement instead of taking special leave.
