
Kottayam: Health inspectors, junior health inspectors and junior public health nurses are the heroes in the COVID-19 resistance activities in the state. Ever since the virus disease was confirmed in the state, these staff who are part of public health system have been working day and night. They are also given the charge of taking care of the migrant labourers. The health workers are over 10,000 in number and are leading the resistance activities in the primary level.
Responsibilities
- The Asha workers hand over the details of people who arrive from other states and from abroad.
- Then junior health inspector arrives at the place and inquire more details and give awareness.
- A report will be prepared and handed over to Disha and health department.
- The health condition of the quarantined person should be assessed every day.
- Arrangements should be made to provide counselling to the quarantined people.
- In case any COVID symptoms are observed, they have to inform the health department and Disha.
- The patient should be taken in an ambulance to the hospital.
- Route map of the COVID positive patient should be prepared.
