
Palakkad: One more COVID-19 death has been reported in Kerala. Palakkad native Anjali (40) is the latest to succumb to the disease. This is the second death to be reported from the state on Saturday. Kasaragod native Nabeesa (75) died while on treatment earlier in the day.
Anjali died at Palakkad district hospital. She was taken to the hospital after she collapsed in the bathroom on Sunday. Palakkad DMO stated that even though she had severe diabetes, she was not aware of it.
Anjali returned from Tirupur with her son on his motorbike. She collapsed on the same day her quarantine period was supposed to end. In the test that was followed, she was diagnosed COVID positive. The result of her son is yet to come.
Teacher deployed for KEAM duty tests positive
Meanwhile, a teacher who was deployed on KEAM duty has also tested COVID positive. She was on duty at Kanjikode Vocational Higher Secondary school. She had gone to Tamil Nadu to bring her daughter back. It is inferred that she contracted the disease from here.
