
Kollam: Mata Amritanandamayi has temporarily stopped giving darshan to her followers in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. The math has issued a statement that giving darshan has been stopped following the instruction from the health department. COVID-19 has been detected in 31 persons in the country including foreigners.
As per instructions from the health department, health inspection and quarantine are being carried out inside the math. In this context, neither locals nor foreigners can be admitted inside Amrithapuri ashram, the math said in the statement.
The restrictions are applicable for staying at the ashram at night and for visits in the morning. The math says that this is applicable for foreigners irrespective of how long they have been in India. The statement also said that the present situation can be controlled through prayers and God’s blessing.
