The Congress leaders' meeting in Sultan Bathery has decided to carry out a comprehensive reorganisation of the party from the grassroots level up to the district committee. The restructuring of the constituency committees is expected to be completed within the next thirty days, in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In addition, the 'Vision Document Mission 2024' outlines a set of action plans to be implemented until next October.
The District Congress Committee (DCC) will have full authority to elect the presidents of the constituency committees, in consultation with the district-level committee. On Thursday, the district-level reorganisation committees will convene to discuss the formation of booth committees, which will be completed through a campaign running from June 1 to 30.
The party will also prioritise the implementation of specific programmes to attract more people to the Congress. These programmes include the installation of ten fixed notice boards at each booth, active participation in charity work, and party study classes at all levels. The process of systematically adding names to the electoral roll will take place in May and June. Booth-level family gatherings will be held in August and September, and in October, the UDF constituency and Booth level election committees will be formed under the leadership of the party.
The KPCC will ensure that Congress affiliates are effectively involved in their respective fields of activity and that they work to attract more people to the party. Sub-committees will be formed, and the plan will be implemented at the district level as well. UDF's constituency and booth-level election committees will be formed in October. A mass communication programme will be conducted at the district and constituency level, and efforts will be made to improve the new media system. The party will also welcome back those who left the party and provide party titles to those coming to Congress from the constituent parties of the LDF, regardless of their previous experience.
