Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MLA M Vincent issued a notice of rights violation against Minister for Food and Civil Supplies GR Anil.

During a discussion in the Kerala assembly on soaring prices, the opposition leader had pointed out that 13 daily-use products were unavailable in Supplyco outlets of the state. However, dismissing the claims made by the Congress leader in the house, Minister GR Anil had said that he was even ready to visit the Supplyco outlets along with the opposition leader to prove him wrong.       

But in a turn of events, the media had visited Supplyco outlets on the very same day and gave out reports suggesting that several essential products were missing in the Supplyco stores. Following this, Minister GR Anil had backtracked from his earlier comments. 

Bringing this issue into the notice of the Speaker, Congress MLA M Vincent has demanded action against Minister Anil GR for giving incorrect information and misleading the Assembly members on a pressing issue. The veteran Congress leader has issued a notice of rights violation against GR Anil for violating the decorum of the assembly.
