New Delhi: The latest Dubai trip of Kerala chief minister Pinarayi VIjayan triggered controversy as the external affairs ministry said the CM doesn't have the permission of the ministry to visit UAE.

The CM had initially planned to visit the UK, Norway and Finland. The trip to Dubai was planned later. Hence a separate request was sent to the ministry.

Sources in the ministry said the request arrived last-minute and they haven't decided on it.

CM has already arrived in the city.
