Kochouseph Chittilappally inaugurating 'Ente Veedu' programme
Kochi: K Chittlappilly Foundation and 'Mathrubhumi' joined hands together with a mission entitled ‘Ente Veedu’ to build houses for the homeless.
K Chittilappilly Foundation chairman Kochouseph Chittilappally and Mathrubhumi Managing Director MV Shreyams Kumar officially declared the project at the inaugural function held in Ernakulam on Thursday. Houses will be presented to the deserving thousand families selected from different districts under the project worth Rs 40 crore.
A total of 13 beneficiaries were selected and Rs 52 lakhs was granted for the first phase of the project. Rs 4 lakh each will be distributed for building houses. The housewarming of the first beneficiary who completed the construction of the house will be held on May 19 at Vythiri in Wayanad.
Kochouseph Chittilappilly announced that the project will be extended all over Kerala in association with 'Mathrubhumi'. He urged everyone to contribute their share for the welfare of the society. He pointed out that only government is not responsible to wipe out poverty in the state.
Addressing the event, MV Shreyams Kumar stated that 'Mathrubhumi' is always committed taking up similar social responsible projects.
