Mattannur:  A 63-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident in Mattannur when a pickup jeep and a car collided, the car allegedly speeding at 19 miles per hour.

Kumari (63), hailing from Cherthala, was identified as the deceased. Nine others, including children, sustained injuries in the accident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning as the victims were en route to visit a temple in Coorg. They were taken to a private hospital in Kannur.
