Kochi: The Central Administrative Tribunal has stayed the transfer of B Ashok IAS from the post of Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department. He was transferred amid differences of opinion with the state government over various matters.

Challenging the government's order, B Ashok approached the Central Administrative Tribunal, claiming that the guidelines related to the transfer of civil service officials had been violated. Ashok was transferred to the position of Chairman of the LSGD Reforms Commission.

In response to his petition, the Ernakulam Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal imposed a stay on the transfer order. With this development, B Ashok could return to his position as Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department.
