Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala, on Friday, opined that t CBI probing the alleged scam in Life Mission project, is a major setback to the state government. He also said the corruption in the project will be brought to limelight with the probe.
Kerala CM, who has been protecting the wrong-doers, will now have to appear for CBI interrogation. He has been lying every day and it is better he steps down, Chennithala added.
According to CM, the investigation is going in the right direction. Now all four agencies, NIA, ED, Customs and now CBI, have come into play. The Life Mission project which was aimed at houses for poor, has become centre of corruption and nepotism, he further stated.
Meanwhile, the Congress leader also welcomed the Supreme Court decision that refused to stay Kerala High Court’s order handing over the Periya double murder case to CBI.
