Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) clarified in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's (CJM) court here on Tuesday that it is ready to conduct further investigation into Jesna's missing case upon receipt of evidence from her father. This announcement came as the court was about to issue its verdict on the plea filed by Jesna's father, seeking a continuation of the investigation after the CBI closed the case.
Meanwhile, the CBI indicated that all related documents and evidence should be presented in a sealed cover. The submission of these documents is scheduled for consideration on May 3, as the court will take up the matter again. If substantial evidence is provided, the investigation will proceed further, CBI affirmed.
James Joseph, Jesna's father, had approached the court against the CBI's closure report which concluded the investigation. In his petition, James highlighted the CBI's alleged failure to investigate key aspects.
James claimed that the blood found on Jesna's clothing and the identity of her unknown friend were not properly investigated. He also mentioned that Jesna regularly visited a prayer centre on Thursdays, where she had an unidentified friend, suggesting that this aspect should be thoroughly examined since she went missing on a Thursday.
