Thiruvananthapuram: A case has been registered against twelve persons for spreading false information regarding the integrity of electronic voting machines (EVMs).
 
Two cases each have been registered in Malappuram, Ernakulam city, and Thrissur city. One each from Thiruvananthapuram rural, Kollam city, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Palakkad and Idukki districts. 
 
Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul said they are closely monitoring social media platforms to nab people who are engaging in deceptive practices aimed at disrupting the electoral process.
