Manjeshwaram: Police have filed a case in connection with a smear campaign being spread on social media against the Chief Minister and the Nava Kerala Sadas. The Manjeshwaram Police have registered a case against Kunjathur native Abdul Manaf (48) in connection with the case. The charges include sections under the IT Act, incitement to violence, IPC Section 153 and others.

After summoning him to the station, the police served a notice and let him go. It is reported a fake voice message by the accused was circulated on social media stating that the child was abducted in Kollam to find money for the Nava Kerala Sadas programme and the Chief Minister was involved in the incident.
