Kottayam: A four-year-old boy tragically lost his life after a car crashed into a charging station at Vazhikkadavu, Vagamon in Kerala, on Saturday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Ayan, son of Arya, a resident of Nemom. Arya, who also sustained serious injuries in the incident, is currently undergoing treatment.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3 pm Arya had stopped her car at the charging station and was seated with her son on a chair in another section of the premises. While they were waiting, another vehicle arriving at the station reportedly lost control and rammed into them.
CCTV footage of the incident has since been released and shows the moment the car veered into the mother and child.
Arya, a teacher at Pala Polytechnic College, was rushed to a hospital in Pala with serious injuries. Although Ayan was also taken to the hospital, doctors were unable to save him.
Preliminary information suggests that the vehicle involved in the crash is owned by a resident of Erattupetta.
