Thiruvananthapuram: A cabinet meeting on Wednesday included the Nadar community in the OBC category.
Until now, only Hindu and SIUC Nadar communities were given reservation. But now, Christian Nadars will also be included in the OBC category. LDF believes that this will provide them an advantage in southern Kerala during the Assembly election.
The cabinet meeting has also decided to extend the validity of PSC rank lists by six more months. The cabinet has also decided to make 115 C-DIT temporary employees permanent.
The cabinet also approved the report filed by the Pay Revision Commission. They have also appointed a committee to study about the implementation of this report. This committee consists of officers including the Financial Department Secretary.
Meanwhile, the government has also decided to implement the pay revision in the Health Department as it is. This is after consideration of the service of health workers during the pandemic.
