Thalassery: The Kerala cabinet on Wednesday approved an incentive for 387 civil defence volunteers involved in the Brahmapuram dump yard fire outbreak firefighting. The decision was taken in the meeting held here amid the Nava Kerala Sadas. An incentive at the rate of Rs 1000 per day will be given for the days of involvement.
Other important decisions taken in the meeting are as follows:
- 10 acres of land owned by Kochi Corporation in Brahmapuram will be given to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for setting up a compressed biogas plant
- 11th pay revision has been approved for part-time contingent employees under the State Co-operative Union
- The creation of deputy general manager, and computer assistant grade 2 posts in the State Co-operative Union has been approved
