Pathanamthitta: The devotees at Sabarimala can now access free Wi-Fi for up to 30 minutes at key locations, including Nilakkal, Pampa, and Sannidhanam. The service is part of a joint initiative by the Devaswom Board and BSNL.
Pilgrims can connect to the BSNL Wi-Fi network by selecting the Wi-Fi hotspot on their devices. After selecting the network, an OTP will be sent to the user's mobile number, and the connection will be activated once the OTP is entered. After the 30-minute free usage period, users can opt to recharge the internet for continued access.
BSNL has set up 13 hotspots at Pampa, 13 at Nilakkal, and 22 at Sannidhanam. A new "Sarvatra" Wi-Fi roaming system will be available at all three locations. This system allows BSNL fibre subscribers to use their home internet service while at Sabarimala. To access this, users must register at the BSNL portal [http://portal.bsnl.in/ftth/wifiroaming](http://portal.bsnl.in/ftth/wifiroaming) or at a BSNL Wi-Fi Roaming point.
21 mobile towers have been set up along the pilgrimage route to enhance mobile coverage. BSNL Principal General Manager K. Saju George said that for service inquiries, pilgrims can contact the mobile number 9400901010, use the chat box at 18004444, or email bnslebpta@gmail.com.
