Kochi: Thrikkakkara MLA Uma Thomas has alleged that late MLA P T Thomas had then faced attempts to influence him in the actor assault case. Thomas, who was one of the key witnesses in the investigation, had reportedly come under pressure from multiple quarters urging him to refrain from giving his statement.
According to Uma Thomas, her husband had remained firm despite the pressure, telling those who approached him that he would speak “nothing more and nothing less—only the truth”. PT Thomas was serving as the Thrikkakara MLA at the time the high-profile case unfolded.

Uma Thomas, who later succeeded him as the legislator following his passing, stopped short of naming anyone. Her remarks come at a crucial moment—just as the trial in the controversial case has concluded.

The Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court is set to deliver the final verdict in the high-profile actress assault case in Kerala on December 8, potentially concluding a legal battle that has lasted more than seven years.
The brutal incident took place in February 2017, when the actress was reportedly abducted and violently assaulted inside a moving vehicle in Kochi.
