Kannur: A BLO (Booth Level Officer) died by suicide at Ettukudukka in Payyannur, Kannur. Aneesh George, a peon at Kunnaru UP School, was found hanging on Sunday morning. The family alleged that work pressure related to SIR duties led to his death.

It is learnt that Aneesh George, who was serving as a Booth Level Officer (BLO), had earlier submitted a complaint to the District Collector about work-related stress. However, this has not been confirmed. Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer has sought a report from the District Collector regarding the BLO’s death.
