CPM general secretary M A Baby has been detained by Delhi Police even as protests intensify across Kerala following ED raids on former CM Pinarayi Vijayan's properties.

New Delhi/Thiruvananthapuram: High tension gripped both the national capital and Kerala on Wednesday following major political fallout over Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids. In New Delhi, the Delhi Police forcibly took senior leaders into custody, including CPM general secretary M A Baby, who were participating in a protest march organised by the party to the ED headquarters.
Meanwhile, widespread unrest erupted across Kerala after the central agency launched simultaneous, early-morning raids at multiple locations, including the residence of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in connection with the controversial CMRL-Exalogic money laundering case. As angry party workers gathered in Kerala to protest the crackdown, the situation turned violent, resulting in injuries to several central agency officials, including a female officer.
The injured team members have formally lodged a police complaint regarding the assault, which took place amidst the escalating nationwide standoff over the financial investigation.
