The court acquitted all the 14 accused, including Kodi Suni. All of them were CPI(M) activists.

Thalassery: All accused in the New Mahe double murder case were acquitted by the Thalassery Additional Sessions Court on Wednesday, 15 years after the crime occurred.
The case pertains to the murder of BJP-RSS workers Vijith (28) and Shinoj (29) on May 28, 2010. The victims were returning from a court appearance in Mahe when their motorcycle was intercepted at Peringadi Road. The attackers allegedly threw a bomb and assaulted them, leading to their deaths.
The accused included 16 CPM activists, among them Kodi Suni, who was serving a sentence in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case, as well as Mohammed Shafi and Shinoj. Two of the accused died after the incident.
The accused were: T Sujith (36) of Pallur Koyyodu Street; NK Sunilkumar (Kodi Suni, 40) of Meethalechal; TK Sumeesh (43) of Naluthara; KK Mohammed Shafi (39) of Chokli Parambath House; TP Shamil (37) of Pallur; AK Shamas (35) of Kaviyoor; KK Abbas (35) of East Pallur; Rahul (33) of Chembra; Vineesh (44) of Naluthara Kunnummalveettil; PV Vijith (40) of Naluthara Padinjarapalullath; K Shinoj (36) of Pallur Kinattinkal; Faisal (42) of East Pallur Azeekal Meethale; Sareesh (40) of Olavilam Kattil Puthiyaveettil; and TP Sajir (38) of Chokli Tavakkal Mansil. The 10th accused CK Rajikanth and the 12th accused Mohammed Rajeese died after the incident.
