Thiruvananthapuram: The state government issued an order fixing the price of bottled drinking water at Rs 13 per litre.

Earlier, the government had issued a notification including bottled water as an essential commodity. Following this, the Department of Food and Civil Supplies issued the order unifying the price.

The price was fixed on the basis of the report prepared by an expert committee appointed by the government. According to the new order, only Rs 13 should be charged for bottled water across the state.
