Bineesh is Anoop's 'boss'; gave him Rs 3.5 cr, states ED
Bengaluru: The report submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was arrested in connection with a financial transaction linked to the drug case, has come to light. Mathrubhumi News received a copy of the probe report submitted by the ED at Bengaluru City Civil Court in order to get Bineesh Kodiyeri in custody.
The ED stated in the report that Anoop Muhammed, the drug case accused who is lodged in the Parappana Agrahara prison, is a benami of Bineesh Kodiyeri. ED officials had interrogated Anoop from October 17 to 21 after taking him into custody. Anoop revealed that the restaurant which he was running in Bengaluru was a benami deal of Bineesh.
ED also found that Bineesh was the boss of Anoop. Anoop was dealing with the benami transactions of Bineesh and was acting as a henchman of Bineesh. Anoop also admitted to the Narcotic Control Bureau and the ED that huge financial deals existed between Bineesh and himself. Bineesh had handed over Rs 3.5 crore to Anoop, the report pointed out.
Bineesh was summoned to the ED office on October 6 in order to know details of the transactions. Bineesh also admitted that he was engaged in huge financial deals with Anoop. However, Bineesh did not cooperate with the officers when asked about the source of other deals. Hence, he should be arrested for interrogation, the ED report stated.
