Aluva: A Bihar man was nabbed on suspicion of kidnapping a 6-year-old child in Aluva on Friday. However, the police are yet to locate the child. 

The arrested native is identified as Ashfaq Alam, a Bihar native.

The missing child, daughter of a Bihar couple residing in a rented apartment in Choornikkara Panchayat. The kid is a Grade 1 student at UP School in Thaikkattukara and went missing on Friday at around 3 pm.

The accused recently moved into a room on the floor above the family's residence. Additionally, the authorities collected CCTV footage showing the child alongside the accused. 

The locals claimed that the accused has inebriated at the time of the accident. The questioning is undergoing at Aluva East Police Station. Police have extended the search to identify the whereabouts of the missing child.
