Thiruvananthapuram: Politician Cherian Philip cautioned his colleagues to exercise caution when dealing with their wives and children.

In a Facebook post, he alleged that majority of politicians are pushed towards corruption by their family members. Cherian held greedy family members accountable for jeopardizing the political careers of several dedicated and hardworking leaders in their state. He even went as far as describing family as a potential threat to a politician's career.

According to Cherian, politicians often comply with the whims and fancies of their family members due to the fear of being alone in their old age. He stated that the inability of leaders to control their greedy family members often leads them into deep trouble.

Cherian Philip, who was previously with the left front, recently switched to the Congress party.
