Kannur: Mayor Arya Rajendran and Sachin Dev MLA, who were engaged recently, became the cynosure of all eyes at the CPM party congress in Kannur. 

CPM Chala area committee member and Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya and Sachin Dev, who is the SFI state secretary and a Kozhikode district committee member of CPM, are the delegates of the party congress. Both of them are participating in the party congress as delegates for the first time. Arya has been a representative from Thiruvananthapuram while Sachin Dev was selected by the party centre itself as he is the current SFI state secretary. 

Arya is also a final year BSc Mathematics student at All Science College in Thiruvananthapuram. Sachin Dev was elected to the assembly when he had started practising law after completing graduation. 

Sachin Dev and Arya Rajendran got engaged at a simple function held at AKG centre in March 2022. He said that the marriage would most probably be in September. They were blessed by the leaders and other delegates who were summoned for the party congress.
