Thiruvananthapuram: Aishwarya Santhosh, daughter of actor Baiju, has spoken out regarding her name being linked to her father's recent car accident. In an Instagram post, Aishwarya clarified that she was not present during the incident, which involved her father’s car hitting a scooterist. Instead, she revealed that the person with her father at the time was her cousin’s daughter.
‘In the recent news of my father’s car accident, the person tagged along was not me but my father’s cousin’s daughter. Thankfully, everyone is safe. Posting this as a story to avoid misconception’, Aishwariya wrote in the Instagram post.

The accident occurred at Vellayambalam around 11:45 pm on Sunday. Baiju’s car collided with a scooter that was travelling from the Kowdiar direction while he was attempting to turn his vehicle after noticing a roadblock near the Sasthamangalam area. The sudden manoeuvre caused him to lose control, resulting in the crash.
Baiju’s car hit a signal post before coming to a stop after colliding with another post. The injured scooter rider was taken to the Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital for medical attention.
The Museum Police have registered a case against Baiju Santhosh for the accident. Reports suggest that Baiju refused a medical examination after the incident, despite doctors later informing the police that he had a strong smell of alcohol.
Baiju was later released on station bail.
